At work, I have other progammers around who can help me get past mental blocks. Sometimes all I need is a second pair of eyes. Other times, I drop by and help someone else get going again on their work. I know class projects often prohibit working with others - but in the "real world" you co-workers are there to help. In time you'll also get better at getting yourself unstuck. Big programs are built of many little programs! That's what functions / procedures are for. Just work on building the skill of breaking down a big assignment into smaller ones. If you're interested in programming, have reasonable intelligence and keep at it, you should be able to make it. .
