  Agreed, "lightweight web application" is hard to define.  I'd
suggest you ask the people that used the term what they want you
to build in other terms.  Are they talking about the server side
requirements, number of potential clients, or what?

  Advice included above.  Any articles I could point to (if I
immediately knew of any that is) would be meaningless until
the definition of the idea is made more clear by your customer.
