What do you have to do to protect copyrighted material, and what license(s) do you use to allow others to legally use it. The best answer to your questions is: 1. Hire a good lawyer and talk to him about copyrights and protecting your property. 2. Do what he tells you. 3. If someone violates your chosen license and copyright, you have the right to hire a lawyer to sue them. After that, it is up to the courts.
