Well, I admit at the time I was quite (negatively) prejudiced by the tone and subsequent image your postings presented or I might not have added the emoticon. What struck is that many potential employers might consider that in >20 yrs never having been given any managerial responsibility could be indicative of a "loner" personality not given to working well with others. In looking for senior individuals, one would normally expect a fair amount of managerial responsibility to go along w/ the territory and an indication of at least some experience would be something I personally would be looking for. > > > I've never had any access to any such facilities. Can you think of something nontrivial and useful I could do with > it all by myself? Well, if you see no way to use a version control even in single-user development systems, I wonder how you woul fare in multiple-development systems...put any project you have under the system and use it--then you'll at least have a feeling for what it is/does and how it works so you can say "yes" to the question... .... > > I assume in 22 years you wrote was actually > > used by your employer? I would say it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes at most to tailor a resume if you have a well-crafted on to start from, but even if it takes a couple, so what? It doesn't appear that your other efforts are any more productive based on your input here. .
