Let me start by clearly stating that I am not looking for a job. I'm
just very curious: exactly what kind of compiler guru do you expect to
attract with $80K? I don't know what your company does but I'm basing
this question on the bit of query you let on. The shop I work for just
hired someone with experience writing compilers for SML and I would be
surprised if they offered him less than at least twice that.
