In my case that's not possible because I don't have any contacts to begin with. Do you have any suggestion what *I* can do to find somebody willing to hire me *now*, not fifteen years ago when I still had a fine job and didn't need any more? > Don't _only_ bug your Mikey when you need a job; > that will just piss him off. So what am I supposed to do, not make any effort to find a job, because making an effort will only piss people off, and wait until a job magically falls in my lap, and *then* instead of working on my job I start contacting Mikey to build up contacts in case I lose my job? People who are unemployed do not have the option of getting into a time machine and making contacts back when they used to have a job so that they can now maintain those already-existing contacts. Are you saying that I'm not allowed to try to make new contacts while I'm unemployed, so without a time machine I can *never* ever make any contacts, so I'll remain unemployed forever, so I'll never be in a position where I'd be allowed to make new contacts without bothering people, so I should just commit suicide right now? .
