I'll tell you what I tell most baby programmers: You'll need to
have or develop two primary skills: first and foremost, the ability
to learn; second, the ability to look stuff up.  Without those
skills, you're toast.

What programming offers is a never-ending series of puzzles and
challenges and learning opportunities combined with the pleasure
of designing and building something that didn't exist before.
