The ability to test means the ability to rapidly submit to program control outside a narrow envelop. I have researched hard-to-test-first things for years, and the HTTP-HTML pipe is near the top of the list. If you can't test-first a given platform, then there are many other things you can't do with it. > i get the feeling you dont practice xp on a > web platform I wrote a chapter of a book on it. Oh, also a few HTML-oriented projects. None using ASP.NET on a public web site. Maybe ASP.NET is just so special that nothing I know about the topic in general applies. But we are too far afield. How easy are new tests to write, how fast do tests for one module run, and how decoupled is your GUI Layer from your logical stuff? -- Phlip http://www.c2.com/cgi/wiki?ZeekLand .
