Matt,

As if it wasn't bad enough when they wouldn't give programmers offices
and stuffed us into little cubes!! And, then the walls get shorter and
shorter until you can't think at all, but you do get a bird's eye view
of your co-worker picking his nose.

Why are they trying to drive us to total distraction? Matt, how could
you possibly think in a room of 10+ non-hygenically-inclined
programmers, muttering and/or hammering away at the keyboard?

Good point about the personal space. Not having any personal effects in
the office is equivalent to having a minimum wage job IMO. Perhaps you
should look at your loyalty to the company in the same way as a minimum
wage worker does then. When I was 17, I know I didn't care a flip when
I quit the pizza place with no notice. :-)
