Regarding CVS repositories, there is a bit of an art to them. Eliminate absolutely every file that is built by the build process from the repository. Only archive actual source. That way the repository will grow only slowly. I believe other SCSs are similar in this regard. Still, 2MB is not that much, not enough to fit a large project. .
