Subj : Not for Profit/ Profit

Hello Guys,
I had been offered an IT job by Profit Company and a Not for Profit
Organization requiring same set of skills with little difference in pay
and perks. Both looks interesting though. Some people told me that
experience as a full time employee in Non Profit is not counted as a
proper experience which sounded weird to me. Is that true???
Please throw some light ASAP.
