It is a sad commentary on the state of our art, and the state of our education, that people think of languages as "good for" this or that situation. All programming languages should support scientific calculations in a client-server model with scriptable outputs and animated 4D outputs. Tool vendors promote their tools by targetting one specific market, and by growing a community of programmers using that tool for that market.
