Subj : Best cross-platform language for smartphones & pdas?

I've got a product that I want to develop for phone & PDA platforms. 
I'm already comfortable with AppForge (Crossfire) but I would like to 
see if there are any other tools out there which will cover more 
platforms.  Other languages that I'm considering are Flash, Java, and 
BREW.  But I don't know which has the most hardware impact across 
platforms.  Any comments?
