if that's similar to the salary.com report, it wont be helpful.

those reports are typically of FT, salaried, w/ benefits. thats way
different than being an hourly employee w/ no benefits.  they dont
address what im asking other devs about :

what are the typical billing rates for our industry?

....experience & location withstanding, of course.

ive posted on other boards & groups, and surprisingly havent received a
single number. i wonder what the big secret is? plumbers have an idea
of what they charge, electricians, mechanics, etc... why wont devs talk
about it??
