If you're using Borland's C++ Builder, then you're in luck.
You can get TurboPower's Async Pro from SourceForge.

I have used this (from Delphi) with excellent results

For the older Borland compilers you will need something like Adontec's 
SuperCom:

I have used this both from C++  and Delphi with excellent results.

Another library that comes to mind is CommLib from GreenLeaf
www.greenleafsoft.com

I have never used this one.
