Borland did not intend for the command line compiler to be use in this
way and does not provide any support for doing so.

There is however a guy named Jogy who maintains a website with all
sorts of info and utilities for BC++ 5.02, including Tools55 which
will automatically set up BC++ to use the newer compiler and linker:
