Jogy has made an addOn for Borland 5.0x that allow to recreate the .IDE
file.
It also provides several other features.
You can donwload from http://personal.sirma.bg/Jogy/addons.html , I really
recomend it.
There are also anothers addOn for Borland 5.0x available, enjoy them!
