Correct. The OP wanted to know:

(1) How to program in C/C++.
(2) Why the variable xreport wasn't displaying when using %X.

The answer to (1) is: follow the Standard and some good texts/advice.
The answer to (2) is: he's using the wrong type specifier in the printf().
