Certainly not what? dependant? Ok, but I thought in the olden days floats were 4 bytes, doubles, double that (hence the distinction). In BCB (just tested it) floats are pushed as 8. so %LX works for them. And, since we are in the BC group, not BCB, the following from BC++3.1 help on float: float, double and long double (keywords) ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ Real number data types Type Ĥ Length Ĥ Range ---------------+---------+--------------------------------------- float Ĥ 32 bits Ĥ 3.4 * (10**-38) to 3.4 * (10**+38) double Ĥ 64 bits Ĥ 1.7 * (10**-308) to 1.7 * (10**+308) long double Ĥ 80 bits Ĥ 3.4 * (10**-4932) to 1.1 * (10**+4932) .
