Subj : Re: Define, Library, Questions for large project involving RS-422 To : borland.public.cpp.borlandcpp From : Andrew Date : Fri Jun 11 2004 02:30 pm Jeff, Sorry for the long delay in getting back to the newsgroup, was away for certifications... The theater organ is a wurlitzer grand, has over 40 stops, and is a combination electronic and wind instrument. I am working with Borland C++, and am a novice to c in general, ... I am an old Turbo Pascal and Cobol programmer, and am learning a bit each day. I will be making this a Gui program and am looking at the new "Win32gui" program interface/library to help make this program... The console outputs all signals on a serial cable to an RS-422 card, and then will be processed by this software to be created, and then output also on serial cable to a series of Devtronix output boards that are already in place. I also have the mapping for the boards and keystrokes from the console to each of the output boards, these mapping will need to be changeable should new additions be made. I need this software to be as flexible for recording and playback as a simple music studio program, that can use both the serial cables to record and playback and use standard midi. for possible additions of other instruments being played along with it... ( I am sure this will be the challenge ).. The project to me is a bit overwhelming at the moment, I am balancing this with a networking and computer build company, and am doing this project, and learning in my spare time... I am definitely seeking council and appreciate all help. Thank you. Andrew "Jeff Baker" wrote in message news:40ae3f14@newsgroups.borland.com... > I would be glad to help you.
