Subj : Bad object file near... To : borland.public.cpp.borlandcpp From : "Sebastian Ledesma" Date : Fri Dec 12 2003 01:16 pm Hi: I just was making a very tiny small modification in a project and compile it, after sucesfully compiling the linker reported me: BAD OBJECT FILE NEAR... I remebered that this error was reported in the newsgroups and also in Jogy web site, I preferred that one and followed the instructions to solve it. But nothing changed, tried and tried (recompile, full recompile, erase all .OBJ, erase .CSM, checking por incrementeal linking) but nothing solved the problem. After that I remember that I upgraded a 3third party library, the problem wast that the Import Library that I used was in the other file format (don't remember right now (COFF/OMF) is the correct one for Borland). I used IMPLIB to create a new import library and the problem was solved. Just for the record. Saludos Sebastian PS: Jogy can you add, the second alternative problem/solution to you page. Thanks ;-) .
