Subj : ERROR in LINKING? To : borland.public.cpp.borlandcpp From : "Francesco Fuccio" Date : Mon Dec 01 2003 02:09 pm Hi All, Watched a show where a devorcing man had to give up half a what he made on a program he wrote while married. This gave birth to me, a rookie programmer with a big love of programming, wanting to notch an awsome program on my belt before I get married in a couple of years. (LOL). Seriously, I have a bit of experience working with Touring and now want to get my feet wet with c++ and saw my opportunity when friends notified me of Borlands C++ giveaway. I am sure I wet up all the config files correctly but when trying to compile my HELLO WORLD program it continuously gives me errors...when compiling I get the message... Borland C++ 5.5.1 for Win32 copyright (c) 1993, 2000 Borland helloworld.cpp: Turbo Incremental Link 5.00 Copyright (c) 1997, 2000 Borland Fatal: Error detected (LME279) Fatal: Error detected (LME347) Warning: Failed to create state file C:/My Documents/Programming Projects/hellow orld.tds (error code 0) I'm at a loss and it seems that my programming days are over before it began....unless someone can enlighten me...please Many thanks in advance, Frank .
