Subj : Re: Downloading Borland C/C++ version 5.5 To : borland.public.cpp.borlandcpp From : "Ed Mulroy [TeamB]" Date : Fri Nov 14 2003 05:01 pm Go to Borland's home page, http://www.borland.com Click on Downloads Click on Compiler in the center area listing downloads In the same block as the compiler download link are two other links, Supplementary Information and Using C++ Builder Compiler. Read those pages. While you are at it, also download Turbo Debugger from the same page. You will need to register with the site to download. There aren't any evil side effects to registering. Note that the free compiler is the set of command line tools for C++ Builder version 5 and not part of the old Borland C++ compiler that this newsgroup covers. The free compiler is covered in the C++ Builder newsgroups, the ones with the word 'cppbuilder' in their name. The download of the compiler is already very large. To keep it as small as possible only a single help file is included, the one which covers the tools themselves. You can download other help files here: http://info.borland.com/techpubs/bcppbuilder/v5/updates/pro.html But read the description for the file you are about to download. Some of them apply to parts of C++ Builder that are not part of the command line tools. The ones you in which you might have the most interest are B5RTL.ZIP, B5LANG.ZIP B5MS.ZIP and B5SCL.ZIP ..
