Subj : Creating Full Folders To : borland.public.cpp.borlandcpp From : "A Davis" Date : Fri Oct 24 2003 08:08 pm Hello All Please can anyone advise how to create Folders over a network? Locally, since mkdir() only works within the current Folder, I've written a function which creates folders along the chain:- Eg To create C: \ folder1 \ folder2 \ folder3 it firstly makes C: the current Drive, then creates folder1 & makes it the current Folder, then creates folder2 & makes it the current Folder, etc This works ok on Local Drives, but fails across a network. Eg a network folder might be:- \\ networkpc\folder1 with two \s at the start & no colon. Since setdisk() takes an integer for the drive letter, I don't know where to start, whether to change to the Network drive or whatever. Please can anyone help? Regards Al. .
