Subj : need help with makefile

I find small library in source uart_lib (by Google search), change 
makefile.def as described and at command prompt type "make all" but 
there errors. Library have 10 years history, so I don't think problem 
there, but I newbuy with make, makefiles etc. Can enybody help?
There 5 files + asm file. I can compile they by one, but I don't know 
how get one lib file from them all.
