Subj : how can I make my GUI run in unix?

I have to build an application with GUI made by C++, and use a socket to
connect to a server. However my application has to run in Unix (I used to
compile C++ program using compilers like g++ or gnu)

Can someone tell me what I can do? This is really urgent, please help !! ><
