If you look at Borland's newsgroup guidelines page http://info.borland.com/newsgroups/guide.html you will see that replies to messages on these groups are supposed to be placed in these newsgroups and not in private email. For every question asked on here there are likely to be many with interest in the reply. It is not fair to those others to hide replies from them. By doing private email you are essentially requesting private consultation services, something which is rarely free. The "REMOVETHESECHARS" in my email address is a defense against automated programs which scrub email addresses from here and then send spam to them. A person might be expected to know to remove those characters, but a program would not. > ... here’s the problem, there are no other options other than > Windows 3.x(16) on my system. I have Borland 5.02... ALL versions of Borland C++ that have ever been made will create DOS programs. From version 4.0 up through the last version, 5.02 the selection of the target platform is done as I described, open TargetExpert and select a DOS platform. The selection is presented in a drop down list labeled "Platform" on the left in the dialog, below the "Target Type" listbox and above the drop down list labeled "Target Model". The only compiler I know of that allows only a target of Windows 3.x (16) is Turbo C++ 4.5 for Windows, a different compiler than Borland C++, one which is essentially the 16 bit Windows part of the Borland C++ 4.5 compiler. However if you had Turbo C++ you would be posting in the turbocpp group and not the borlandcpp group so I do not understand what the problem you are having is. ..
