Subj : PROBLEM DOING A TRACE THROUGH (F7) BORLAND C++ 3.0 DOS To : borland.public.cpp.borlandcpp From : "Howard M. Rifkind" Date : Thu Jul 03 2003 05:18 am Hello: I just installed Borland C++ 3.0 (DOS) in a DOS partition on my 1.2 ghz machine. Yes I know it's very old but several programs which I have written in the past are for DOS and being I'm getting back into 'C' I would like to review the programs I wrote in the past. When I do a TRACE THROUGH (F7) or a STEP INTO the partition hangs and I have to reboot the machine. If I just run the program it runs fine and terminates without errors. I was wondering if anyone could give some direction on what's going on here. I have tried all sorts of changes in the setup for the IDE and nothing seems to be working. Could this by chance have anything to do with the speed of the machine as I know Borland had an issue in the past with the old Pascl compiler running on fast machines. I have attached a sample program which I know works Thanks. .
