I'm going to have a go at mergeing them, so the verification is checked when people enter the script. I am also going to make a few changes so that people can select to change their email address and it will ask for a new verification email. i didnt think i would be lucky enough to be able to get this far into the guts of the program. I'm going to have lots of fun with this. > > In the QuickBBS days you would use a menu editor to create menu files and > > then make an .ans and .asc file for that menu. It was easier. Well i'm a programmer myself. So i find this way much easier as i can cut and paste code to add menu keys. In QBBS/SBBS days you had to make menu entry after menu entry. it was easy for beginers, but very slow. I also fine syncronet easier to add more than one ans/asc/msg file to a menu. I set mine up to display three files per menu. A static header file for bbs name, a semistatic file for navigation, and finaly the list of menu keys for the current menu. Think of it as a webpage with three frames :) I wonder how hard it would be to output html code? syncronet looks like it has all the framework required to be a powerfull webserver. > > I assume this is because i dont know how to make a shell and isntall it? > > Once you figure out the BAJA and script stuff, make the changes that you > want, you can edit the ansi screens with "Thedraw" or some other ansi > editor. There are many in the "alt.bbs.synchronet" newsgroup > that could probably help you better and know a lot more than I do. :) I noticed a lot of people are feeding usenet in and out of syncronet. is there an official feed somewhere? or do i have to sign up to a pay news service? thanks again for your help. -- EnjoyDialup - You know you want to... mail=valid required when replying .
