Although it is only running on my local lan while i learn how it all works. it has already interfaced with mail servers correctly and many other wonderfull things. > > Did I read the documentation correctly. I was the offical IBM support site for OS/2 as well. but OS/2 had died out thanks to windows 3.11 by the time i decided to pull the plug and use the time to study the other great mystery of the world. my girlfriend at the time. ;) > > looks like I'll be trashing my old proboard system. > > With the BAJA script language, you can probably save some of the > Proboard stuff and use it with SBBS. It is inserted somehow into the .asc files with these ctrl-a codes i have been reading about? At first i thought they were how the menus are constructed. i got the telnet verifyer to all to the bbs. the one that emails you a pin number you must enter to continue. > > I'm very impressed with what qbbs can do now. pity they don't output the > > menus etc in html format. but telnet is built into windows, so it's all > > easy to use, just not so pretty.... > > Try MTelnet from "http://ozone.eesc.com/". It works better than the > Windows telnet client. thanks. and it has zmodem download too. so i was able to grab some extra stuff from the bbs's themselves. i was wondering how zmodem was going to work. now i know. > > If you're interested, check out "http://www.synchro.net/sbbslist.html" > for a list of Synchronet BBSs. thanks. > Then; > > "http://pages.sbcglobal.net/flv/ccsbbs/index.html" > "http://biseonline.com/fido_int/knowledge/" > "http://biseonline.com/fido_int/" > "http://biseonline.com/r19/" > "http://www.winramturbo.com/fnsp/mainmenu.htm" > > If you don't find something on one of these pages, ask, and someone can > lead you to a place to get/find it. :) loverly. i'm sticking with synconet for now. i like my old proboard system, but this sbbs has so much to play with i cant put i down! -- EnjoyDialup - You know you want to... mail=valid required when replying .
