If you don't want to download these light softs, you can still connect using java. Otherwise, you can also connect to pulsar and rtel by dialing their phone numbers, but I don't think you got a modem supporting Minitel protocol, and calling France may be expensive :) For english speakers, browsing to http://www.ccl4.org may be interesting, it's an english videotex (viewdata) server, with dial-up and java connections. On all these servers, my nickname is Deadsmile if you'd like to contact me. FYI, Minitel is the french videotex terminal, and of course all the servers I mentioned here are in French, except CCl4. These are not exactly Bulletin Boards but imho are really close. Between them, only Rtel was commercial, but today its sysop keeps it online just because he likes his server. Here are a few links if you want to lean more about the Minitel : http://www.digibarn.com/collections/systems/minitel-usa/ , http://www.minitelfr.com/Uk/home/index.html , http://teletext.mb21.co.uk/ Feel free to send a message for more information. -- __________________________________________________________________________________ La liberté d'expression ne s'use que si l'on ne s'en sert pas : http://www.eff.org Pour que votre processeur ne tourne pas à vide : http://setiathome.berkeley.edu .
