       | learn, because it is a very powerful and advanced one.     ||

       | In the meantime, we reccomend you take the following       ||
       | steps to modify your BBS:                                  ||
       |                                                            ||
       | * Take the Renegade Shell and replace the ANSI's. You      ||
       |   can make simple ANSI's yourself, or look through some    ||
       |   old artpacks for menu sets you can edit. A good ANSI     ||
       |   resource is http://ansi.idledreams.net                   ||
       | * Edit the TEXT.DAT strings to change the color codes      ||
       |   and wording of the strings to make them suit the         ||
       |   theme of your BBS.                                       ||
       | * Install modpacks that are available. Just follow the     ||
       |   step by step instructions that are included.             ||
       | * Replace text strings in the TEXT.DAT with ANSI's         ||
       |   by using the @TYPE command, as the syntax is explained   ||
       |   in the Synchronet Documentation.                         ||
       | * Carry small echomail networks that don't have a ton      ||
       |   of members, so that you have a unique selection of       ||
       |   message areas that are not as easy to find as            ||
       |   nets like FidoNet are. This will add a level of          ||
       |   uniqueness to your BBS, and help with activity in        ||
       |   that network. (Of course there is nothing wrong with     ||
       |   carrying nets like FidoNet also, if that is what         ||
       |   you wish to do)                                          ||
