These are BBS (Bulletin Board System) forums, that revolve around BBS Software and other aspects of "BBS'ing" (more info to be found at http://www.bbsmates.com and http://timeline.textfile.com). With a "BBS" you can do exactly what you are wanting, only: - You can host it yourself from home on your broadband line - Are not limited to other peoples policies - Offer your forums via telnet, nntp (usenet format), email, etc.. (and soon with Synchronet via the web also) - Offer free email addresses - Files via telnet, ftp, and (soon) the web - And alot more... If all you are wanting is a simple mailing list then http://www.coollist.com is a good one that isn't bloated.
