Subj : HELP, I’m stuck behind a NAT \ router and can’t get out To : alt.bbs.internet From : Duckmaster <> Date : Mon Dec 22 2003 04:17 pm I am trying to put up a web site and a telnet BBS on my home computer and I’m having a hard time figuring out how to let people from outside my home actually see my website and my BBS. I do believe that I have opened the correct ports on the router to the particular machine that I have the servers on. Those are ports 23 and 80. I’m trying to use software named BALI for Dynamic DNS client. I have also, of course, set up the appropriate account at dyndns.org and have registered a domain name with them. Can anybody out there give me a clue on how to get client software to recognize the router that I’m behind? The router is a speedstream 2614. But again the manual for this router is vague and cryptic and may not have the port forwarding set up correctly. Thank you very much .
