I already have the dialup line. I have had it the whole time snce I moved into my apartment in September. I only pay $10 for it vs the $65 for a static IP address DSL package. My old ISP only charged me $18.95 per month. > If you decided to go internet on 56k, then i hate to tell you but having DSL > is actually cheaper than paying for the x-tra phone line PLUS a dialup > internet account. as I explained above in Connecticut that is not true. I would be paying about half the rate per month. Being on Disability, I cannot justify the cost. > Also, how will you poll for echomail? If My nearest hub uses AT&T Unlimited then its as good as a local phone call. But then again, I am unsure if his dialup line is still active. I will query and find this out. > Looks to me like your basically putting your BBS to death. But thats your > choice to make. Far from it. In this case, I mean unsolicited mass mailings.
