Reply-To: Followup-To: Keywords: Summary: Planet Maca's Opus leaving the TCP/IP scene, going dialup in October After a year of being on the Internet, I have decided to pull out of the DSL side of the internet in October. It is my plans to keep the dialup line active and just do "net death". This is due to the expenses incurred while operating a bbs on the net. I rather see the dialup line get used and there is no way I can afford the DSL and my Dish Network Sattelite TV system. so DSL goes bye bye when my contract expires. I also am doing net death for another reason. Spam mail! While it decreased since I have been not posting much. I cannot afford to keep payng for someone to send me "junk mail". I am working to clear up the issues with xmodem/ymodem and zmodem downloads via modem that seem to be plaguing my dialup users and I will continue to get Fidonet and I-link (once I figure out why I cannot get on to my i-link hub right now.) This is not exactly what one would call an advertisement. more of a news release.
