Thanks for the quick response, Time Warrior, I did some web
searching on my own and downloaded Mystic, Osiris, PBBS, &
Synchronet (already have a DOS version of Worldgroup [Major]
running from my last BBS experience and have seen Wildcat before
in it's DOS days) and was starting to get that same perspective.
It's really quite a shame, there use to be dozens of BBS
softwares to choose from back in the DOS days, but now that
WinBlows has taken over the scene the BBS seems to be dying off
as we once knew it. :(
If I can't find a viable alternative, I'll be switching to
synchronet to re-establish my BBS, The Castle's Dungeon, very
shortly. viable meaning lower cost than MBBS or WC and still
reasonably configurable and able to establish the differentiation
of areas/user levels that I want.... seems like under DOS that
would've been asking so little..... *sigh*
