I've been advocating this for some time now. I'm glad somebody else sees it that way. I've done a sampling of several bbses in the telnet bbs guide, and I find LOTS of bbses that ask for personal information. And to add insult to unjury, you end up giving all that information, then you find out that you have access to NOTHING! It really pisses me off, and I don't ever call those bbses back. The guy on axis computers spams all over the place saying how good his place is, but I couln't seen anything there that I could do when I called. I didn't find out until AFTER I signed up will all my info that I wouldn't have access. Seems the fucker voice validates. Does he tell you that BEFORE you give the info? NO, he does not. It seems like he doesn't read his mail ether. after I gave my new user letter, and found I had no access, i wrote him back and told him to delete my account because I didn't like his tactics. What does he do? He still voice validates me. Unfortunately he interrupted me during a work meeting, so I could not give him a piece of my mind then. I will NOT call his BBS because of it.
