Perhaps something like the Fidonet's NodeDiff capabilities. the update ('diff') would simply have the changes since the last listings, and the maintenance program would update the list accordingly. (Just one possible route.. I'd imagine there are better methods/simpler ideas to code...but I'm not a programmer. :) .
