But think about this for a second. DM seems to work on Synchronet daily -- I'm guessing for around 1 to 2+ hours a day -- despite it being a freeware program. Keep in mind he also has a full-time job (a programming one I'd bet). The guy must spend like 10 hours a day programming, only to be hounded by newbies with questions that are very clearly answered in his hypertext, screenshot-inclusive sysop documentation. Personally, I think seeing snippy replies is understandable. If you ask him an intelligent question -- one that isn't answered in the docs or FAQ -- you will get an intelligent answer. But if you ask something in DoveNet that's very clearly in the Synchronet manual, you'll get replies basically telling you to RTFM. .
