Next install I'm putting a sniffer on the wire so I can see if it's trying to find itself in DNS. I can't figure out why else it would fail because I know for certain the info I gave it correct and it can 'see' the DNS servers where it's at. What it is trying to do with the info I'm not sure. From reading some of the AnswerBook pages to learn how to net boot I found that when using NIS/DNS you have to define the machine before you try to net boot so that it can find itself there. I'm making a wild guess that the CD install is trying the same thing and that step is failing when it can't find itself. 'course a simple test would be to add it to DNS before installing and see what happens but sniffer captures are so much more fun to play with. th>> I just got my Sparc version in the mail.
