Subj : Slacker 10 To : Anjo From : PistolGrip Date : Fri Aug 20 2004 03:24 pm Ok, so in my quest to find the right distro for me these days I've installed everything from Fedora C3, to SuSe 9.1 Pro, to Slack 10. So, after installing and playing with SuSe and Fedora and deciding they were too slow and bloated I decided to install Slackware 10. After doing a "Full" install and configuring the OS I rebooted and got a nice little Grub error. It's hard to describe, but you'll see GRUB identify itself and then you get a bunch of extended ASCII characters and it hangs. I'm sure it's something with the boot/grub settings, but I havn't found a solution yet. I set the install to install the bootloader on the bootable partition (ie. /). Any ideas Slackmaster? :) PistolGrip ---------- --- þ Synchronet þ WasteLand BBS þ telnet://wasteland-bbs.com * Origin: Joe's Computer & BBS -=joesbbs.com=- (1:275/312) .
