You can reply via email if need be... Unfortunately the server which ran all the scripts is no longer with us due to its unlucky position in an electrical circuit formed between a cloud and the ground during a tunderstorm. The lightning hit melted the power connector on the motherboard... It wasn't overly complex, believe me... The SMB shares were already in place, I just wrote a shell script to mount the share on the other server, and rsync between the local directory and the (SMB mounted) remote directory. I read the rsync manpage to get the parameters, and just ran my script from cron. I'm at work now, but I'll try to remember to see if the script is atill lying around somewhere at home. One more note of interest: IF YOU'RE RUNNING A RAID-0 ARRAY MAKE SURE YOUR BACKUPS ARE RUNNING :) Shortly the server on the other end died, one of the drives in my striped array bit the dust. Boy was I pissed. I found a disk cloning utility which was persistent in retrying read errors and managed to copy the failing drive onto a good one... I put the new drive back in the array, but lost/corrupted lots of songs. _________ o (O) BeLLy ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ --- ž Synchronet ž **** BraziBBS: brazi.net **** * Origin: Joe's Computer & BBS -=joesbbs.com=- (1:275/312) .
