NetBSD is an split of freeBSD, whith the accent on portability. OpenBSD is an offshoot of NetBSD, which focuses on security issues. According to the reviewer, FreeBSD is the one with the easiest installer and the most available packages (note: roughly same as Debian). Mention is also made of PicoBSD, which is a one-floppy project available in 4 different flavors (router/dialup/don't remember the rest). However, PicoBSD hasn't been updated in a couple of years.
