I'm running FreeBSD on my DNS systems. The current system runs on a 5x86/133 
with 16MB RAM and a 400MB hard drive. I'm about to expand that, though. I 
acquired a pair of Gateway 486 desktops, which I'm going to drop 5x86/133 
processors into, 32MB RAM each, and a WD 800MB hard drive.

At my former employer, we dug some P166 systems out of the storage closet and 
ramped them up with FreeBSD for 2 DNS servers, a sendmail relay, and a P2/300 
was ramped up to be an Apache server.

What I especially liked about the FreeBSD was the ability to install the full 
system via 'net download. I downloaded the boot floppy image, walked through a 
short interactive "what do you want installed" procedure, and then walked away 
from the machine. It's a really great 'overnight' project.

Having gone through a Slackware installation, a couple of RedHat installations, 
and looked at a few others, the FreeBSD installation was a dream. In fact, the 
FreeBSD installation was easier than the SCO OpenServer installation, which is 
one of the best installation packages I've ever seen anywhere.
