I have only seen Solaris running on Sparc. But you are right.

I think I described in an earlier mail the machine I currently work with. It is 
indeed a twenty something processor with some 7 giga ram, etc. Not exactly your 
usual desktop. I certainly agree with the first part here. As for the latter, I 
tend to believe it since Linux usually fares better on low-end and cheap 
hardware than anything else, probably because that's what most of the 
developpers have access to - given enough eyes, any bug is shallow :-)

If I had more time, I still have a couple of old sparc stations in the attic at 
the office :-)
