Good to hear! VC> This could be converted to OS/2 using VP/2 and to Linux using Kylix. What about using gpc under Linux? Let's see... On my Debian (3.0r1) system, a 'man -k pascal' brought out options of 'Free Pascal Compiler', 'GNU project Pascal Compiler', p2c for converting code to C, but I'm not hitting on Kylix. I'll have to dig further for that info..... And if the GNU Pascal compiler is based on what I expect, I would expect to find a port of that compiler that runs under OS/2..... Hmmmmm.... What version of Turbo Pascal was the code written for? Prior to the implentation of units? What extensions to the original language did you take advantage of? VC> Anyone interested in helping to convert the code? I don't have time right now, and my priority will be to get Maximus running under Linux as far as "free time" for working on open source code for a while. But once Max is running nicely under Linux (and/or a "free" *BSD flavor), we will want a file manager..... VC> If so I will see what is involved to putting it onto sourceforge. No rush, but that would be good. Thanks and take care..... Bob Jones, 1:343/41 --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: Top Hat 2 BBS (1:343/41) .
