It will for some folks trying to compile the code with some older versions of 
GCC or other compilers.....

Let me try my question again:

What CVS commands did you use to add the file vserv.h to the maximus 
sourceforge archive?

Ah....  In another message I see that you stated that the vserv.h (and .c) 
file(s) are now in the CVS archive, so this is now a moot point.
