If not, Open Watcom? If not a port of GCC to your platform? You will need additional tools to completely compile and rebuild Maximus and Squish (and now SqaFix) from source code. If I remember correctly, Scott used dmake (publicly available, but did not become a standard) with Watcom (either 9 or 10). I didn't have all the tools Scott used. And the make program Scott used did not run properly on my (OS/2 based) system. What is your platform? MS-DOS? Windows? OS/2? What version of the OS?
