Subj : squishy linux To : Maurice Kinal From : Bob Jones Date : Fri Sep 26 2003 06:36 pm One problem with compressing the netmail packets is that you have to have owner read / write / execute permission on the various directory locations used and be running with a consistant USER ID. Squish defaults to a 700 mask on creating files..... If you don't know what I'm talking about, please ask for more info. This user ID / default permission issue can result in a problem like what you are describing if you have some processes running under a different UID from other processes (related to handling the mail packets), or different from the UID of the directories used... Take care..... Bob Jones, 1:343/41 MK> Hello Bo. MK> 26 Sep 03 20:53, you wrote to me: BS> Huh? Let me see a log..
